Summer coolness

When temperatures rise in the valley, it's easy to appreciate cooler spots. Around Puy Saint Vincent, you have several options for cooling off, either on site or in the surrounding area. Between swimming pools, natural lakes and landscaped ponds, you'll easily find a place to suit your current mood.

These places offer real moments of pause, with very different atmospheres. A swim after a hike, an afternoon with the family, or simply a break at the water's edge.

Here are a few simple and effective ideas for making the most of summer.

Puy Saint Vincent swimming pool

In the heart of the resort, the Puy Saint Vincent swimming pool remains an easy and pleasant option for cooling off without straying too far. The atmosphere is friendly. People come here both to swim and to relax after an activity. The pools offer something for everyone, whether you prefer a leisurely lap or a family swim. Activities such as aquagym are also offered every week.

Access is easy, on foot from most accommodations. It's a great solution for a mid-day break, or late afternoon after a hike or a day at the bike park.

Belly slide

Every week, don't miss the giant belly slide, the most fun activity of the summer in Puy Saint Vincent. The concept? Lac de la Roche de Rame

Fifteen minutes from the resort, Lac de la Roche de Rame offers a totally different atmosphere. Here, you're on a natural lake, surrounded by mountains. The water is renowned for its quality, reaching pleasant temperatures in summer. The environment is open, with plenty of space to sit back and enjoy the day. The site is particularly popular with families. A floating aquapark offers games on the water, while the nautical base lets you rent pedalos or paddles. The whole area is supervised, which is reassuring for an outing with children. You can easily spend several hours here. Between swimming, playing and relaxing on the shore, time flies.

Another of the lake's assets is its conviviality. You'll find everything you need to eat right on the spot, without having to leave. The restaurant Le Chalet du Lac offers simple, generous cuisine to enjoy by the water's edge, while Le Micky Bar operates in snack mode with paninis, salads, burgers and ice creams, to eat in or take away.

Afternoons are lively. If you prefer a quieter time, opt for mornings or late afternoons.

It's a place that's easy to get to, and suitable for everyone. People come here to swim, but also to picnic, relax or let the kids play in peace and quiet.

Nearby, you'll also find the Pays des Écrins intercommunal swimming pool, with indoor and outdoor pools, open all year round.
