Located in the heart of the Hautes-Alpes, Puy Saint Vincent is an accessible resort, whether you come by car, train or bus. On-site shuttle services make it easy to get from one area to another.

Getting Around 
EXPLORING THE PAYS DES ÉCRINS WITH ESTIBUS

From July 4 to August 30, 2026, the Estibus shuttles make it easy to reach several sites in the Pays des Écrins without using your car. They run daily, including holidays, during the summer school break.

Three free summer routes

  • Route A: Vallouise-Pelvoux – Ailefroide – Pré de Madame Carle
  • Route B: L’Argentière-la-Bessée – Freissinières – Dormillouse parking lot
  • Route C: Vallouise Center – Béassac Chapel

Connections are available to regular bus routes and trains at L’Argentière-les Écrins station.

The Market Shuttle

Every Thursday morning, a shuttle runs between the different levels of Puy Saint Vincent and the Vallouise market. The shuttle departs from Puy Saint Vincent 1800, with several stops at 1600, 1400, and in the village.

Fare: €1 per trip—free for children under 12.

Getting Here by Car

Main Routes

Puy Saint Vincent is accessible via the Durance Valley:

  • From Marseille (approx. 3.5 hours): Take the A51 to Gap, then head toward Briançon
  • From Grenoble (approx. 2.5 hours): via the Col du Lautaret (caution in winter)
  • From Lyon (approx. 3.5 hours): Take the A48, then head toward Gap or Grenoble
  • From Paris (about 7 hours): A6 / A48 or A51

Final access via L’Argentière-la-Bessée, then up toward Vallouise and the resort.

Winter Driving Conditions

During the winter season:

  • Mandatory equipment (Mountain Law: winter tires or snow chains)
  • Roads are cleared regularly
  • Safe access, but caution is advised during snowfall

Always check the weather conditions before you leave.

Parking at the resort

  • Parking available in the 1400, 1600, and 1800 sectors
  • Parking is generally easy outside of peak periods
  • Some residences offer private parking

Getting here by train

Nearest train station: L'Argentière-les-Écrins

L'Argentière-la-Bessée station is just 8 km from the resort.

It is served by :

  • TER trains from Marseille, Valence or Gap
  • Night trains from Paris
  • TGV connections via Valence or Grenoble

Connections to the station

From the station, several options :

  • Direct bus (line ZOU! 543)
  • Journey time: approx. 30 to 45 minutes, depending on service and stops
  • Accessible fares: €3 (reduced fare €1 on presentation of proof)

Connections are organized with arriving trains.

Traveling by bus
: Travel easily with the ZOU network!

Puy Saint Vincent is accessible by bus from the region’s major cities and train stations. Once you arrive in L’Argentière-la-Bessée, the ZOU! 543 line provides direct service to the Puy Saint Vincent 1400 and 1600 areas, passing through Les Vigneaux and Vallouise-Pelvoux.

To reach the Hautes-Alpes, several regional bus lines also allow you to travel from Marseille, Gap, Grenoble, Briançon, Montgenèvre, or theOulx TGV station, before continuing your journey to the resort.

Good to Know
Schedules and frequencies may vary depending on the season. To transport a bicycle or accommodate a passenger with limited mobility, we recommend making a reservation at least 36 hours in advance. The number of spaces for bicycles is limited.
