Pays des Écrins loop - heading for Freissinières

A long loop that plunges you into a wild, unspoilt valley. As you head towards Freissinières, the route becomes more confidential, between cliffs, forests and isolated hamlets. An immersive outing, far from the hustle and bustle, perfect for lovers of wide open spaces.

Ailefroide & Pré de Madame Carle - at the end of the valley

Heading up the Vallouise, you cross Pelvoux until you reach Ailefroide, then the famous Pré de Madame Carle. Here, the road ends... and the high mountain begins. A gradual climb in a unique setting in the heart of the Ecrins National Park.

Ascent to Puy Aillaud - balcony over the valley

A short but steady climb to the hamlet of Puy Aillaud. Up here, the view opens up to the whole Vallouise region. Ideal for a shorter outing, with a nice panoramic reward.

Head for the Col d'Izoard

A must for alpine cyclists. After Guillestre, the climb intensifies before giving way to the mineral landscapes of the Casse Déserte. A mythical outing of effort and emotion.

To the Col du Lautaret

From Briançon, the road gradually rises towards Le Lautaret. Peaks and glaciers gradually appear, in a high-mountain atmosphere. A steady climb, perfect for letting yourself be carried along.

Towards Queyras, between light and wide open spaces

On to Guillestre and then the gates of the Queyras for a long, luminous outing. The roads become wilder, the landscapes wider. Total immersion in the Southern Alps.

Big loop to Briançon

A complete outing combining heritage, relief and a variety of landscapes. Between L'Argentière-la-Bessée, Briançon and the valley, each section offers a different atmosphere. Ideal for mile after mile without ever getting bored.
