Puy Saint Vincent, land of major sporting events this winter

This winter, Puy Saint Vincent confirms its status as a benchmark sporting resort in the Southern Alps.
From December to March, the resort hosts four major competitions, bringing together international athletes, young talent and winter sports enthusiasts.

Alpine skiing, snowboard cross, freeride and ski mountaineering: each discipline finds here a field of expression equal to the demands of the highest level. An intense winter of performance, spectacle and mountain energy.

FIS Giant & Slalom Race - Alpine Skiing

december 6 to 10, 2025

To open the season, Puy Saint Vincent hosts an FIS alpine ski race, with giant and slalom events. These official competitions bring together international skiers in search of FIS points, on demanding, perfectly prepared slopes.

It's a not-to-be-missed event for fans of top-level downhill skiing, but also a great opportunity for the public to experience the intensity of the competition up close to the athletes, in an authentic winter atmosphere.

Snowboard Cross European Cup

The resort hosts one of the stages of the European Snowboard Cross Cup, a spectacular discipline par excellence. Speed, commitment and precision are the order of the day on a technical course designed to provide maximum thrills for riders and spectators alike.

This European competition brings together the rising elite of snowboard cross and confirms Puy Saint Vincent 's ability to host large-scale freestyle events in a natural, dynamic alpine setting.

Freeride World Qualifier

march 7 to 11, 2026

The Freeride World Qualifier in Puy Saint Vincent marks an innovative milestone in the history of freeride.
For the first time anywhere in the world, riders will be able to enjoy a specially designed slope. Natural snow modules, integrated into the terrain, will be used to create more committed, technical and creative lines, in keeping with the freeride spirit.

In addition to the competition, the event will be a genuine freeride festival over several days.
The program combines riding and sharing, with :

  • workshops on prevention and safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe),

  • film screenings dedicated to freeride culture,

  • entertainment open to all,

  • and concerts, punctuated by a few surprises.

A unique event that affirms Puy Saint Vincent's freeride DNA, combining innovation, commitment and mountain conviviality.

Elite World Cup & Youth World Championship - Ski mountaineering

The highlight of the winter season, Puy Saint Vincent hosts the Elite World Cup and the Youth World Championship in ski mountaineering.
International recognition for the resort, which has established itself as a benchmark venue for this Olympic discipline.

Historically, Puy Saint Vincent has hosted international ski mountaineering competitions since 2011.
Over the years, the resort has developed recognized expertise in organizing technical, demanding and spectacular events. Today, ski mountaineering is an integral part of the resort's sporting DNA, in perfect harmony with its natural terrain and mountain spirit.

Once again this year, the world's best athletes, as well as young international hopefuls, will compete on courses combining ascent, descent and portage, in a spectacular high-altitude environment. A major event to end the winter on a sporting note, deeply rooted in the history of Puy Saint Vincent.
