Puy Saint Vincent, land of major sporting events this winter

This winter, Puy Saint Vincent confirms its status as a benchmark sporting resort in the Southern Alps.
From December to March, the resort hosts four major competitions, bringing together international athletes, young talent and winter sports enthusiasts.

Alpine skiing, snowboard cross, freeride and ski mountaineering: each discipline finds here a field of expression equal to the demands of the highest level. An intense winter of performance, spectacle and mountain energy.

Freeride World Qualifier

march 7 & 8, 2026 - Puy Saint Vincent

The Freeride World Qualifier in Puy Saint Vincent marks an innovative milestone in the history of freeride.

For the first time anywhere in the world, riders will be offered a specially designed slope. Natural snow modules, integrated into the terrain, will be used to create more committed, technical and creative lines, while respecting the freeride spirit.

The sporting program

  • march 7, 2026: Freeride World Qualifier Junior
    Young talent gets the ball rolling. A day dedicated to the new generation of freeriders, ready to push back their limits.

  • march 8, 2026: Freeride World Qualifier 2*
    Confirmed riders take to the slopes in an official 2-star event on the world circuit.

More than just a competition

In Puy Saint Vincent, the Freeride World Qualifier is experienced as a genuine freeride festival, over several days.

On the program:

  • Workshops on prevention and safety equipment (avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe)

  • Film screenings dedicated to freeride culture

  • Activities open to all

  • Concerts and a few surprises to extend the experience

Elite World Cup & Youth World Championship - Ski mountaineering

march 25 to 29, 2026 - Puy Saint Vincent

The highlight of the winter season, Puy Saint Vincent hosts the Elite World Cup and the Junior World Championship in ski mountaineering.

International recognition for the resort, which has established itself as a benchmark venue for this Olympic discipline.


A land of ski mountaineering

Since 2011, Puy Saint Vincent has been the venue for international ski mountaineering competitions.

Over the years, the resort has developed recognized expertise in organizing technical, demanding and spectacular events. Today, ski mountaineering is an integral part of the resort's sporting DNA, in perfect harmony with its natural terrain and the mountain spirit of the Southern Alps.

Once again this year, the world's best athletes and young international hopefuls will compete on courses combining ascent, descent and portage, in a spectacular high-altitude environment.

    Sprint - Elite World Cup

    Relay - Junior World Championship

A complete, rhythmic and spectacular program, promising five days of excitement in the heart of the Massif.
